General Regulations

General Regulations of BGM Public School, Varanasi – Discipline, Attendance, and Conduct

Attendance & Punctuality

  • Students must attend school regularly and be punctual.
  • A minimum of 75% attendance is required to appear in examinations as per CBSE guidelines.
  • Leave applications must be submitted in writing and approved by the Principal.

2. Uniform & Appearance

  • Students must wear the prescribed school uniform neatly and with pride.
  • Proper grooming and personal hygiene are expected at all times.
  • Any deviation from the uniform policy requires prior permission.

3. Discipline & Conduct

  • Respect for teachers, staff, and fellow students is mandatory.
  • Use of abusive language, bullying, or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.
  • Students must maintain discipline inside classrooms, corridors, and school premises.

4. Use of School Property

  • Students are expected to take care of school property, including furniture, books, and digital equipment.
  • Any damage caused must be compensated by the student/parent.

5. Electronic Devices

  • Mobile phones, smartwatches, or unauthorized electronic gadgets are strictly prohibited.
  • Confiscated items will only be returned to parents after proper inquiry.

6. Academics & Examinations

  • Students must complete assignments, projects, and homework on time.
  • Malpractice during examinations will lead to strict disciplinary action.
  • Gradebook will be followed as per CBSE curriculum.

7. Health & Safety

  • Students must inform teachers immediately in case of illness or injury.
  • Parents are requested to update the school about any medical conditions.
  • Safety rules in laboratories, playgrounds, and transport must be strictly followed.

8. Communication with Parents

  • Regular parent-teacher meetings (PTMs) will be conducted.
  • Parents are encouraged to check the school website and notice boards for updates.
  • Any concerns must be addressed through proper channels (class teacher → coordinator → Principal).

9. Transport Rules

  • Students using school transport must follow bus rules and maintain discipline.
  • Misbehavior in buses may lead to withdrawal of transport facility.

10. General Expectations

  • Students must uphold the values of honesty, respect, and responsibility.
  • Participation in co-curricular and extracurricular activities is encouraged.
  • The school reserves the right to amend regulations as needed for smooth functioning.
